Hi everyboby, I have just returned from the Vintage Guitar show in Nashville and I must say it was a blast. This is the first time I have been able to attend and I loved it (even though I was told it was a little small compared to previous years).
I got to meet George Gruhn of Gruhn Guitars and speak with numerous dealers about running a music store. I can’t wait to get to a point where I am finally able to open the doors on the store so that you, the music playing public, can see for yourself what we are working so hard to do for all of us.
We have settled on a name for the store and I am unveiling it here on the Journal. Please welcome to the world, Old Barn Music, Inc. The store was founded by musicians that love songwriting, performing, and sharing the gift of music. In the near furture, I will be passing along updates as they are available. Wish us luck!!!
Lastly, I will be at the monthly meeting of the Birmingham Chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International on Monday, March 13th, 2006 @ 7:30 PM. If you are a songwriter in the Birmingham area, you should come too. It is held at the Moonlight Music Cafe on highway 31 in Vestavia, AL. See you there!!
Keep those pens to the paper until next time.
