Hello again friends!! I re-read my last post a few minutes ago and I saw the line that said I would be posting more often. Boy was I wrong!! Things have been absolutely crazy for the past few weeks.Â
 Â
First, my work situation has gone from bad to worse. The company I work for is in the middle of one of the most hostile takeovers I have seen. People are dropping like flies left and right and as always happens in these kind of things, people are choosing sides and positioning themselves for the new culture coming in. In a way, I am glad this has happened. I get to see how hard it is to always try and “do the right thing” and keep my morals and convictions at the level I have always tried to keep them.Â
 Â
I made a decision early on that I didn’t want to stay in my current job as a network engineer if I had to move to another city. Well, last week we in the Network Operations Center found out we were eventually going to be moved to Austin Texas. I told our new manager that I didn’t want to go unless there was a different and interesting job in a management-type role. I’m pretty sure they will not offer me anything so now may be the time to start the music store in earnest.Â
 Â
Oh well, enough of that.Â
 Â
In other news, I had the pleasure of going to not one, but two great concerts this week. On Valentines Day, I drove up to Huntsville Alabama to see Keith Urban. Man what a great guitarist!!! He puts on one heck of a show. I had flood seats right in front of where they mixed the sound and was pleasantly surprised when he came out in the middle of the show right in front of us and played an acoustic set. We were less than five feet from him and the sound was awesome. (For you guitarists out there, Keith played two different Gibson Les Pauls, his Fender Tele, and Maton Acoustics. The Matons are Australian-made guitars and have a great tone.)Â
 Â
Wednesday, I was privileged to get to see a man I consider the world’s greatest acoustic guitar player, Tommy Emmanuel. Tommy is also from Australia and also plays Maton Acoustics. If you have never heard of this man, then you have missed a legend among guitar players. I really can’t describe exactly what he does but I’ll tell you this; he can play things on the guitar that you would think are impossible unless you see him do them. As always, it was a truly incredible show! (Go right now to Google.com and put his name in the search window and find a video. You will not believe it, I promise.Â
 Â
So, all in all, I think Australian guitar great week was fantastic!!!Â
 Â
The next time I post, I will get back to the topic at hand : songwriting. I promise.Â
